# Ask the agent

Open the agent panel, ask a question, read the answer and its sources, and see what happens when the documentation has no answer.

## Open the panel

The agent panel is where you talk to Justwon. Select **Show the agent panel** to open it beside the page you are on, and **Hide the agent panel** to close it.

The panel also opens by itself on a question. When a question card in the Inbox says **Answer in the conversation**, selecting it opens the panel on that question. See [the Inbox](https://justwon.ai/docs/use/the-inbox).

## Ask a question

Type in the message box and select **Send**. The message box asks "Ask about an account, or log news". While the agent is answering, **Stop generating** stops it.

Name the account or the person you mean. These are the kinds of question the panel suggests: "What has changed at Acme lately, and why?", "When did we last hear from Acme, what was it about, and who should reach out next?" and "Prepare me for the next meeting with Acme."

A conversation that has not started offers suggested questions. They come from your day's digest when there is one. Choosing one puts the whole question in the message box for you to read, change and send, and it says so: "Fills the message box. Nothing is sent."

The agent answers from what Justwon has read from the tools you connected, and from your Playbook. It is instructed to say how much it looked at, for example how many results it read, and not to claim to have covered a whole period unless it did. It can still be wrong or miss something. Open the sources when the answer matters.

## Read the answer

When an answer draws on sources, they are listed with it and you can open them. Below the answer you can also:

- select **View quality details** to see how Justwon rated the answer;
- select **Copy response** or **Regenerate response**;
- mark it a **Good response** or a **Bad response** and add a sentence about why.

[Where an answer comes from](https://justwon.ai/docs/how-it-works/where-an-answer-comes-from) explains the sources and the quality rating.

## Tell the agent something

You can tell the agent news instead of asking, for example that something changed at a customer. It saves what you said as a note and can suggest changes to what Justwon knows. The suggestions appear as **Proposed changes**. Nothing is applied until you select **Apply changes**. **Discard** leaves them out, and the note itself stays saved.

## When an action needs you

When an agent has prepared an action that needs your yes, it appears in the panel as a card titled **Approval needed**. You can approve it, decline it or decide later. What an action may reach, and what always waits for a person, is in [what the agent does](https://justwon.ai/docs/how-it-works/what-the-agent-does).

## Questions about Justwon itself

Ask how Justwon works or how to set something up, such as connecting a tool or what a score means, and the agent answers from these documentation pages only. It names the page it used as a link, in place of the source list. It does not answer such questions from memory.

## When the documentation does not have the answer

When the documentation does not cover the question, the agent says one sentence: "I could not find this in the docs." It does not guess.

Under that sentence the app can offer a card, **Send this to support**. It shows your question as you asked it, and what goes with it:

- **Where you were**, the page you asked from;
- **Workspace**, the workspace you asked in;
- **Reply to**, the address the answer will be sent to.

Nothing is sent until you select **Send to support**. When it is sent, the card says **Sent to support** and gives a reference you can quote. If the sending fails, the card says "It was not sent. Try again." **Not now** puts the card away.

The card appears in the app's agent panel. Where Justwon answers somewhere that cannot show it, for example in Slack, the sentence is the whole answer.

You can also write to support@justwon.ai at any time.
